The Key Keeper is a character in the episode The Key to Being a Hero on Mighty Med. He is the eighth Key Keeper and has a passion of watching TV.
History[]
Key Keeper VIII was once an ordinary human until his mentor and predecessor, Key Keeper VII, taught him to be a hero but ended up losing everything.
In The Key to Being a Hero, he came to Mighty Med hospital after he was injured by his nemesis Slaughter Master (although Key Keeper claims that Slaughter Master isn't his nemesis). After explaining to Kaz that he is intending to retire, Kaz offers to be his successor but Key Keeper wanted to deal with it later. Later on Kaz is ready to prove to Key Keeper to have the Key of Steel but Key Keeper already gave it to Skylar. Near the end of the episode, Key Keeper telekinezi summon back the key from Kaz (who stole it from Skylar earlier) before he demonstrates his new powers to Oliver. Key Keeper claims he made a mistake giving the key away and admitted that he mainly took it back because Solar Flare only dates superheroes.
Equipment[]
- Key of Steel: Key Keeper VIII hold a special object that is held by the Key Keepers and grants its holder incredible powers, which include super strength, making the wearer's body as hard as steel, and unlocks anything like a bathroom in the world. The Key can be passed on to any successor, and that person becomes the new Key Keeper until he or she passes it on. However, the previous wielder still retains some powers and can use a form of telekinesis to take it back if he/she senses it being used for petty desires. The only weapon that can destroy the Key's power is the Hammer of Achelon.

Trivia[]
- Without the Key of Steel, he's short of a mere mortal.
- He gives the key to Skylar but Kaz stole it and then he takes the key back. At the end of the episode, The Key to Being a Hero, he takes the key of steel back from Kaz just to date Solar Flare II.
- His actor Casey Campbell later played a recurring role on Bunk'd as a chief named Murphy.
- Casey Campbell's name is also quite similar to the name of the female former player and current hockey analyst Cassie Campbell.
